Affiliate disclosure
How Before You Cart makes money, in plain English.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate, Before You Cart earns from qualifying purchases. Before You Cart is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
When you click a “Check price on Amazon” button or another Amazon link on this site and then buy something, Amazon may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price whether you use our link or not.
FTC disclosure
In line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements, we tell you up front that links to Amazon on this site are affiliate links. Pages with Amazon links carry a short disclosure near the top, and every Amazon link is marked as sponsored in the page code.
What commissions don’t change
- We don’t accept payment from manufacturers or retailers for placement, rankings or positive coverage.
- We recommend products from other brands, including ones that compete with Amazon’s own devices.
- We don’t claim hands-on testing. Our guides are based on manufacturer specs and published reviews, and we cite our sources.
About prices
We don’t display live or “current” prices. Amazon prices change often, and the price shown on Amazon at the time of purchase is the one that applies. Where we mention a price in a guide, it’s the manufacturer’s launch price with the month it was announced, for context only.
Trademarks
Amazon, Alexa, Kindle, Fire, Apple, iPad, Samsung and Galaxy are trademarks of their respective owners. Before You Cart is an independent site and is not endorsed by or affiliated with any of these companies.
